2008 IADC/SPE Asia Pacific Drilling Technology Conference kicks off Monday

The event will be opened the morning of 25 August with remarks from key industry thinkers:

Purnomo Yusgiantoro•    Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources-Indonesia, who will officiate the opening session;

 

 

 

 

Bagus Surdaryanto•    Bagus Sudaryanto, Conference chairman;

 

 

 

 

Fauzi Imron•    Fauzi Imron, SPE director, Southern Asia Pacific Region;

 

 

 

•    Ken Fischer, IADC vice president-Middle East & Asia;

Monday morning will also feature a keynote session, with senior executives from across the region:

Zuhair Al-Hussain•    Zuhair Al-Hussain, executive director, drilling and workover, Saudi Aramco; Mr. Al-Hussain, past member of the IADC Executive Committee, will speak on “The Role of Drilling Technology in Meeting Global Energy Demand”;

 

 

•    Hertiono Kartowisastro, president director, Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk;
•    Tor Fjaeran, president director, StatoilHydro Indonesia. Mr Fjaeran will address “Challenges in Obtaining a Drilling Rig for Ultra Deep Waters and Implementing Best Practices and Technologies”;

The conference also includes two topical luncheons, on Monday and on Tuesday. Featured speakers are:
