Atwood Beacon to drill well offshore Ivory Coast

Atwood Oceanics announced that its Atwood Beacon has been awarded a contract by Edison International S.p.A. to drill a well offshore the Ivory Coast with dayrate of around $115,000. The drilling program is expected to take approximately 70 days to complete.

The rig is expected to complete its current drilling program with Hess Equatorial Guinea on 17 June.
