Ed Jacob, Chairman Independence Contract Drilling Ed Jacob is Director, President and Chief Operating Officer of Independence Contract Drilling (ICD). Mr Jacob joined ICD in February 2013 and was promoted to his current position in May 2014. Prior to joining ICD, Mr Jacob was President and CEO of Keen Energy Services. Prior to that, he worked for Grey Wolf, Bayard Drilling Technologies, Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co and National Supply Co, in a career spanning more than 40 years. Moe Plaisance elected Chairman of Well Control Institute Moe Plaisance has been elected as Chairman of the Well Control Institute (WCI) by the WCI Board of Directors. He will be responsible for the development of the WCI as the global authority on well control matters. Much has changed in the following 75 years.
