The drilling industry continues to take giant strides in process safety management, recognizing the catastrophic potential and impact on our license to operate. Norbert van Beelen, Shell GM for wells – unconventional, participated in a panel session devoted to the topic at the 2013 IADC Drilling HSE Europe Conference in Amsterdam on 25 September. In this exclusive video, Mr van Beelen speaks with IADC group VP/publisher Mike Killalea about why industry needs to “think” process safety and how Shell is enhancing process safety for its Wells group.
