IADC Well Servicing Committee to focus on mast integrity, well control

“I became involved in this committee to make a difference,” Mr Eustace observed at the committee’s 28 October meeting. He invited input from the servicing industry on issues the committee might tackle.

Well control is another issue squarely in the committee’s sights. Some say that well control is a bigger problem for well servicing than for drilling. However, operators are often reluctant to require BOPs, since the perception is that the wells are “killed.”
