Maersk Oil: Industry tasked with developing young, passionate workforce

The big crew change has spotlighted the importance of developing a workforce that’s not only competent but also passionate about what this industry does. “Passionate People” was the topic of a panel discussion at the recent 2013 SPE/IADC Middle East Drilling Technology Conference in Dubai. Varying perspectives were presented from a budding engineer, operations and drilling supervisors, an HR director and a project manager. In this exclusive video, Hans Flikkema of Maersk Oil, who moderated the panel, discusses the diversity of the panelists and key takeaways to cultivate and maintain a passionate workforce.
