Northern Offshore appoints Bauer as senior VP operations

Northern Offshore has appointed Gary L Bauer as senior vice president of operations. Mr Bauer has more than 35 years experience in the drilling industry, culminating with his most recent position as division manager of Egypt and Middle East for Transocean. In that position, he was responsible for operations, business development and the financial performance of 17 rigs in numerous regions. Prior to the position with Transocean, he served in various manager capacities with GlobalSantaFe and Santa Fe International.

Mr Bauer holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
