The Pacific Santa Ana ultra-deepwater drillship

Chevron awarded a five-year contract to Pacific Drilling for use of the Pacific Santa Ana ultra-deepwater drillship. The contract commences in late 2011.

The drillship is under construction in South Korea, and is capable of operating in up to 12,000-ft water depth and of drilling to more than 35,000 ft.
