Lloyd’s Register Energy recently held an open house at the company’s newest training center in Houston to showcase new sensing and modeling technology currently deployed in the Gulf of Mexico. The technologies on display included the BOP Risk Model and a new fiber optic sensing technology, both of which provide condition monitoring and help drilling contractors anticipate when BOP maintenance will be needed.

In this exclusive video with DC, Duco De Haan, Commercial Development Director, Lloyd’s Register Energy, and Scotty Roper, Commercial Manager, BOP Risk Model for Lloyd’s Register Energy, provide a look at the these technologies and explain how they can help manage risk.
