Awards Luncheon
At the Awards Luncheon, OTC recognizes outstanding achievements in the offshore industry by honoring an individual and a company with an OTC Distinguished Achievement Award. The keynote address will be given by Jesús F. Reyes-Heroles, director general, Petróleos Mexicanos ( PEMEX). Tickets for this limited seating luncheon are USD 40.

Industry Breakfasts
Industry breakfasts are organized by OTC and the US Department of Commerce, and offer expert views on doing business in developing regions. In 2008, the industry breakfasts will focus on China, Indonesia, and Qatar. Industry breakfast tickets are USD 30 each. The ethics breakfast is hosted jointly by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.

To accommodate the expanding audience, The Next Wave will be held on Wednesday, 7 May. Designed to provide career insights for young professionals looking to expand and grow their role within the offshore E&P industry, the theme of the 2008 program is Preparing for My Future in an Evolving Industry.

OTC Night at the Ballpark
Join more than 2,000 OTC attendees on Tuesday, 6 May for a night of Major League Baseball, when the Houston Astros play the Washington Nationals. OTC Chairman Don Vardeman will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Discounted tickets are available online for OTC attendees. A limited number of tickets will also be available for purchase on-site at OTC.

20th Annual ASME / University of Houston Crawfish Boil
The ASME International Petroleum Technology Institute and the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering host their 20th Annual Crawfish Boil on Sunday, 4 May from 1300 to 1700 at Lynn Eusan Park. All OTC attendees are welcome to come and enjoy crawfish, barbecue, music, and prize drawings. Advance tickets are USD 30 each. Tickets for university students with valid ID are USD 15. There is no charge for children under the age of six. Proceeds benefit engineering scholarships at the Cullen College of Engineering.
