3T Energy Group has appointed a new executive vice president to help deliver its global growth plans.
Niels Meissner has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas sector having worked in senior executive roles in the US, Middle East and Africa for the past 13 years. Prior to 3T, Mr Meissner served as the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at MHWirth. Before that, Mr Meissner headed up the sales and business development division at National Oilwell Varco, helping to almost double sales for the business across the Middle East and Africa.
As well as a degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Mr Meissner holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago. Mr Meissner joins 3T Energy Group as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing and will sit on the executive board helping to drive the 3T Energy forward.
3T Energy Group combines the expertise of simulator developer and manufacturer, Drilling Systems, with energy training providers, AIS Training and Survivex, and virtual technology specialist, Neutron VR, to bring a radically different “blended learning” approach to energy sector training. This approach uses simulators, e-learning, virtual reality and integrated software, alongside traditional training, to increase the competence levels of energy sector personnel and reduce “skills fade” by ensuring skills and confidence levels are maintained and remain fresh.
