Gabaldon named Chairman of IADC UBO/MPD Committee, provides activities update

Oscar Gabaldon, Operations Manager for Blade Energy Partners, recently took over as Chairman of the IADC Underbalanced Operations and Managed Pressure Drilling Committee. Mr Gabaldon is now leading the committee to complete several recommended practices (RPs) that are under development, including RPs for surface backpressure MPD with subsea BOP (API 92S) and a controlled mud level RP. The committee is further working on an accredited MPD training curriculum and recently established a Gas in Riser Subcommittee.
