Awilco Drilling was the winner in the floating rig under 500,000 manhours category and Diamond Offshore in the over 500,000 manhours category. The winner for platform drilling was KCA Deutag.

Chairman’s Awards, which recognize individual rigs and their crews with the best safety performance in 2016, went to Ensco 121 (jackup); Ocean Valiant, Diamond Offshore (floating rig); and Scott, KCA Deutag (platform). The Associate Member Award was presented to Weatherford UK.

A charity table collection raised almost £4,000, which will be matched by the NSC. The two nominated charities, British Heart Foundation and Charlie House, will each receive donations of £4,000. This year’s Val Hood Award went to the Friends of Anchor charity, with a check for £5,000 toward their 20th anniversary appeal.
