Houston seminar to explore Canary Islands as hub for West Africa

IADC will participate in a seminar to be held on 22 September in Houston to explore the role that the Canary Islands could play in staging and warehousing for the West African E&P market. The event is being co-organized by the US Commercial Service, the Houston West Chamber of Commerce and the Canary Island government. It will aim to provide an industry forum for increasing US exports of products and services to West Africa.

IADC Senior Director of Program Development Brenda Kelly is scheduled to kick off the seminar with welcoming remarks. Presentations at the event are:

  • “Exploring Regional Logistics Hub Packaging and Shipping,” by Jarred Montgomery, UPS International Account Manager.
  • “How Energy Firms Use the Canary Islands for Logistics Staging to West Africa,” by Pablo Martin Carbajal, General Director for Economic Affairs, The Canary Islands government.
  • “Upcoming Trade Mission to Canary Islands,” by Queila Delgado, Economic Liaison Officer for US and Canada.
