Thermon introduces EnviroDyne methane destruction unit

Thermon, a global leader in industrial process heating, announced the introduction of the Thermon EnviroDyne Methane Destruction Unit, which converts harmful methane gas emissions to water vapor and carbon dioxide without using a flame. This new technology is the latest development in Thermon’s drive to provide sustainable solutions to dramatically reduce its customers’ global emissions footprint. “As a company, we are firmly dedicated to doing everything we can to be responsible stewards of the global environment. The primary component of natural gas is methane. Given that methane emissions are an especially noxious source of damaging greenhouse gases, 70-80 times worse than CO2, we, as experts in catalytic reactions, created the Thermon EnviroDyne Unit to reduce them,” said Mark Roberts, Senior Vice-President Heating Systems and Engineering for Thermon. “By drawing ...

CRP Subsea launches subsea Motion Stabiliser technology for cables, umbilicals and flowlines

CRP Subsea is launching its new Motion Stabiliser technology, specifically designed to protect cables, umbilicals and flowlines from motion instability and damage from uncontrolled movement. Engineered to mitigate instability in both axial and lateral directions, theMotion Stabiliser design includes customizable fins that anchor into the seabed, increasing overall resistance. “Through ongoing collaboration with our customers, we understand that on-bottom stability, axial walking and lateral sliding can be real issues. Irrespective of the phenomenon causing the instability, our latest innovation Motion Stabiliser is designed to control movement, keeping cables, umbilicals and flowlines in their laid location where desired or allowing movement when needed, reducing the risk of damage or undue stresses,” said Paul Louvain-Walters, Business Group Manager (Elastomers) for CRP Subsea. ...

Dropsafe unveils new design for Net system to improve global dropped object prevention

Dropsafe launched a new upgraded version of its steel wire mesh Net, adding an enhanced layer of security and traceability to an essential piece of safety equipment and enabling operators to further reduce the risk of human error. Safety securing is a vital aspect of dropped object prevention programs on industrial facilities globally. At these sites, fixtures such as lights and cameras may loosen due to corrosion or impacts, then fall and strike personnel or equipment. In one recent incident highlighted by IMCA earlier this year, a 6-kg floodlight dropped 4.5 m due to corrosion. The deterioration had been hidden by paintwork, and no secondary retention solution was in place. Drops prevention nets enclose and tether objects at height to ...
