Tendeka awarded multi million dollar AICD screens contract in Sub-Sahara Africa

Independent global completions service company Tendeka has been awarded a multi million dollar contract to deliver autonomous inflow control devices (AICD) screens for an operator in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Tendeka will supply its specialist FloSure Elite sand screens with its FloSure AICD and zonal isolation products for two developments in the region.

The award, which is the company’s first in the country, covers multiple oil producers and water source wells. The work will commence later in 2018.

Modeling of Tendeka’s AICD for the operator’s wells has demonstrated significantly increased production in comparison with conventional completion methods brought about via reduction in both water production and the gas-oil ratio.

“Our FloSure AICD technology has been installed in over 130 wells for 15 operators to date with fantastic results,” Gillian King, Tendeka’s Vice President Europe, Russia, CIS and Africa, said. “Our clients see up to 46% increased oil with the deployment of our technology. This extensive track record and our reservoir modeling capabilities enabled us to win this work. We are pleased with this award and look forward to working with more operators as we increase our operations in Africa.”

Tendeka has installed more than 8,000 passive ICDs and 25,000 autonomous ICDs globally.
